**Senior Military Veteran / Executive Coach / Strategic Mentor**

Steve Featherstone spent forty years in the British Army, but the fear he had to beat first was the dark. Realising at thirteen that the Army does most of its fighting at night, he began walking through graveyards after dark on his paper round until the terror gave way to something closer to excitement, then enlisted at sixteen.

He served with the Corps of Royal Engineers and as a Sergeant Major, moving through senior logistics, project management and quality assurance roles at Tidworth, Aldershot and Blackwater. He now runs [Ubiquitous Consulting](https://www.ubiquitycoaching.com), his own coaching practice, and speaks for the intelligence-skills training company [Spy Q](https://www.spyq.co.uk), working with leaders and teams on clarity, decisions under pressure and conflict, with mediation where it is needed.

His method is a three-step protocol he runs several times a day: regulate, reframe, reset. He lives in Weymouth, swims in the sea most mornings whatever the temperature, and last year walked the fifty-four-mile Cateran Yomp.
